The queue is the truth

Queue depth and deferred counts are tracked continuously, with backlog alerts calibrated on live fleets rather than guessed. Delivery flow is read from the logs the servers already write: sent, deferred and bounced rates per host. A bounce storm — the classic signature of a compromised account or a broken relay — raises an incident while it is still a storm, not a postmortem.

Brute force, named and located

Failed logins against Dovecot, SMTP auth and FTP are counted from the authoritative log lines, folded by source address and enriched with country at ingest. The alert says who is knocking, from where, how many times — and your own rate-limit hits are graphed separately, so "my defenses are working" never reads as an emergency.

Deliverability: monitoring the other direction

The worst mail incident is the one where everything is green and nothing arrives. Deliverability checks validate SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your sending domains and query the major blacklists, so an RBL listing becomes an alert with a timestamp instead of a support ticket three days later. Certificates on SMTP and IMAP endpoints are watched like any other certificate — including the ones that expire on a port nobody browses.

PMG hosts are recognized as what they are: mail flow, queues and ClamAV signature freshness — stale antivirus signatures on a live mail path are an alert, not trivia.

Does Wakora read my users' mail?
No. Monitoring works on queue counters, delivery log lines and service health. The agent redacts credential-shaped content before anything leaves the host, and message bodies are never collected — there is simply no code path for it.
Which mail software is supported out of the box?
Postfix, Dovecot, Exim and Proxmox Mail Gateway are discovered and monitored automatically, including their queues, delivery rates and log-level signals. ClamAV signature freshness is watched where PMG runs. New services are added server-side as signed checks — no agent update needed.
Can it check whether my domain is blacklisted?
